Some smallish sketchbook watercolour studies! The odd brownish clumps in the first image are what gold ink looks like scanned. Normally I take photos when I use gold ink, but I didn’t really feel up to it today.
A small, quick painting I made originally as part of a series for SPX. A bunch of stuff came up in recent weeks, so…. it looks like this finished print is all there is of that series. But exciting things are in store for the future!
I’ve been doing a lot of research on tall ships lately. If you want to learn more about maritime topics or my upcoming GN Four Points, come find me at SPX. :)
Can we all just take a minute to appreciate how amazing this show is?
We have a strong black woman in a leadership position who doesn’t even need to speak to command attention.
A girl who’s entire being is big, from her hips to her hair to her lips, and is so free spirited and comfortable with herself.
A smart and graceful ballerina who’s femininity does not hold back her ability to fight.
And a male protagonist who’s not afraid to be seen hanging out with strong women.
